Our NGO’s work is vital to uplift marginalized communities by ensuring access to education, healthcare, and livelihoods, breaking the cycle of poverty and building a just, inclusive society.

Socio-Economic Education and Rehabilitation Society (SEERS), also known as Social Empowerment and Economic Relief Services, is a registered voluntary social service organization, established in 1992 and formally registered under the Tamil Nadu Society Registration Act of 1975 on May 2, 1994. Based in Vyasarpadi, Chennai, SEERS is committed to uplifting the poor, oppressed, underprivileged, and marginalized populations living in the slum communities of northern Chennai.
SEERS focuses on four key areas: Education, Health, Environment, and Economic development, working primarily across Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, and surrounding districts. With the motto “Empowering the Marginalised and Help the Helpless,” the organization offers holistic programs to improve living conditions, enhance learning opportunities, and promote skill development.

Events

World TB Day Celebration at Governor Hall

On 24th March 2025, SEERS participated in the World TB Day celebration held at Governor Hall to raise awareness about Tuberculosis prevention and care. The event emphasized the importance of early detection, treatment adherence, and public awareness to eliminate TB. Health experts, officials, and NGOs came together to reinforce the message of a TB-free society. SEERS reaffirmed its commitment to community health through active engagement and support. The program served as a reminder that united efforts can help end TB for good.

Community Welfare Programs

As part of our ongoing commitment to community welfare, we organized a food distribution drive in Vyasarpadi, reaching out to the needy and elderly. This initiative aims to ensure that vulnerable individuals receive nutritious meals and feel cared for. By standing with the underserved, we strive to promote dignity, empathy, and solidarity within our neighborhood.

Our Impact
